Journalytic is an early stage company building the world’s first Investment Operating System for professional investors. We are a small team with decades of business, investing, and technology experience. We’re backed by a cadre of amazing public and private market investors who believe in our long-term vision. Our customers include hedge funds, family offices, and RIAs who run their firms on the tools we’re building.​

We combine cutting-edge research in behavioral science and decision-making with thoughtfully designed interfaces to help investment teams operate with greater clarity, discipline, and consistency. Our mission is to provide the core infrastructure that powers the highest-stakes decision making in investing and beyond. And we’re just getting started.

Why this is such a big opportunity:

We are currently a remote team, with concentrations in Pennsylvania, California, and Seattle. This role is perfect for an engineer who relishes complex technical challenges in a fast-paced startup environment. (We don’t have a lot of pointless meetings.) You’ll be joining a team of passionate A+ players who will support you and challenge you to grow.  You won’t be a small cog in a big machine. Your work will have a direct impact on how the world’s best investors operate.

As an early team member, you’ll help shape:

  2. Our engineering practices.

  3. People who we hire.

  4. The direction & focus of our product.

What you’ll do.

  1. Take part in daily updates, helping us build our product, company, and culture.

  2. Collaborate with your teammates to design and develop our product.

  3. Engage in requirements gathering, technical specification, and the design and development of complex services across mobile and web platforms.

  4. Participate in the active development of an evolving product that will grow and change rapidly.

  5. Be part of a team of passionate engineers focused on building scalable and delightful products.

  6. Work on API infrastructure, AI, data management, web development, and more.

Who you are.

  1. You have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science.

  2. You have  experience working on a development team building web client and server applications.

  3. You have experience with Typescript, React (or reactive framework), HTML, CSS on the client a must.

  4. You have experience with server development, REST, Golang a plus.

  5. You have experience with cloud platforms and concepts is a plus.
